"Dear All,

As you know, Accountancy Europe is a member organisation of the EFRAG. This enables us to have one EFRAG Financial Reporting Board (FRB) representative, appointed for 3 years, renewable once. Following Board approval in January 2021, Accountancy Europe is represented by Olivier Schérer, Chair of our Corporate Reporting Policy Group, in the EFRAG FRB.

Because of changes his day to day responsibilities, Olivier Schérer would like to step down from the EFRAG FRB.

Therefore, Accountancy Europe is calling on its Member Bodies, the European Contact Group (ECG) and the European Group of International Accounting Networks and Associations (EGIAN) for candidates for EFRAG Financial Reporting Board member to represent the accountancy and audit profession.

The expectations of EFRAG FRB members are included in the EFRAG Internal Rules, more specifically in the high-level criteria in Article 22.10 and the commitments of EFRAG FRB members in Article 25.1. Other relevant articles for candidates are 22, 25 to 28, 31 to 36 and 46. Based on Article 22.2, the candidate could ordinarily not be German as we understand the quota that not more than 3 members should come from the same country is reached for Germany.
 

If not yet the case, the successful candidate is expected to become an active member of the Accountancy Europe Corporate Reporting Policy Group.

All interested candidates are asked to apply with a CV and motivation/application letter at the latest by Monday 6 May 2024. Support of one of our Member Bodies is encouraged. Please send your application to myself (hilde@accountancyeurope.eu).

A due process is being set-up for the selection of the Accountancy Europe representative in the EFRAG FRB.
